Sales Director

At K.I.D. Toys, we do more than distribute products—we create moments of joy for families from coast to coast.

As our Sales Director, you will be the driving force behind our commercial growth. Your playground? All of Canada. Your mission? To elevate our brand, expand our product lines, and lead our sales team to new heights—all while keeping your inner child alive.

Reporting directly to senior management, you will play a key role in our field performance by combining strategic vision, strong relationship-building skills, and a genuine passion for the toy industry.

Responsibilities

1. Strategy, Growth, and Business Development

  • Lead the annual sales plan and execute it with confidence to achieve and exceed company objectives.

  • Identify and pursue new growth opportunities among independent retailers, major chains, and key accounts.

  • Expand and strengthen our distribution network across Canada while effectively serving both English- and French-speaking markets.

  • Represent the company at major toy trade shows and industry events across Canada.

  • Monitor industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to ensure we stay ahead of the curve.

2. Team Coaching and Leadership

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire our field sales representatives to achieve outstanding results.

  • Define sales territories, establish clear objectives, and track meaningful performance indicators.

  • Lead engaging team meetings that foster collaboration, accountability, and a results-driven culture.

3. Strategic Account Management and Relationship Building

  • Maintain and grow trusted relationships with key customers and major accounts.

  • Negotiate mutually beneficial agreements, including pricing, promotions, exclusivity arrangements, and delivery terms.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction remains at the center of every decision and interaction.

4. Sales Analysis and Data-Driven Strategy

  • Partner closely with senior management to analyze sales performance and prepare insightful sales reports.

  • Use data and market intelligence to optimize processes, adjust strategies, and support informed business decisions.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with purchasing, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.

  • Contribute to product selection and future product line development based on market demand and customer feedback.

  • Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization.

The Ideal Candidate

A Natural Sales Professional

You possess a strong commercial mindset, excellent persuasion skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for developing new business opportunities.

Proven Sales Experience

You have 5 to 8 years of B2B sales experience, ideally within consumer goods, distribution, or, even better, the toy industry.

An Inspiring Leader

You have demonstrated success coaching, motivating, and leading sales teams toward ambitious goals.

Technologically Savvy

You are highly comfortable with technology. Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is second nature to you, and you quickly learn CRM platforms and internal business systems.

Fully Bilingual

You have excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and French, allowing you to work effectively across the Canadian market.

Industry Network (Asset)

Existing relationships with independent retailers and major retail chains across Canada would be considered a strong asset.

Warehouse Clerk

We are currently looking for Warehouse Clerks (Distribution Center) – full-time position – to help us continue our mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Unload trucks;
  • Inspect merchandise;
  • Store and organize merchandise within the warehouse;
  • Prepare shipping orders for various clients;
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment;

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to stand for extended periods;
  • Ability to lift heavy loads;
  • Forklift certification is an asset;
  • Resourceful, motivated, and self-reliant;
  • Good physical condition
  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM;
